An Inside Look at the Coker Golf Program: Issue #2
2/19/2009
It has been a few months since I have checked in but I wanted to send over my thoughts on the first event of the spring and introduce a new addition to "Off the Links."
It is crazy how fast time flies. We have just returned this past week from our first event of the spring, the Coker College Invitational at Grande Dunes, and are now preparing to leave for Savannah to play in the Armstrong Atlantic State University Pirate Invitational on Sunday. As for the Coker College Invitational, I want to thank everyone who participated and the staff at Grande Dunes for all of your support. It was truly a spectacular weekend and a great start to the spring season. Though we had our first finish of the year outside of the top three, I should mention the guys deserve a ton of credit for their hard work and fight.
This Sunday we leave for Savannah, where we finished third last year shooting 590 (+14), only nine shots off the winner Clayton State. I have been very impressed with the team's drive over the past week in preparation for this event. They have competed everyday looking forward to making a statement at such a prestigious event!
And now we are ready to introduce a new addition to "Off the Links." This is intended for all of the parents and casual fans of Coker Golf. At each event, I will attempt to post tournament information including but not limited to:
