Hartsville, S.C. - The Lady Cobra tennis team dropped their first Conference Carolinas match of the season with a 6-3 loss to Lees-McRae on Saturday afternoon. Lees-McRae improves to 3-1 overall on the season, while Coker falls to 2-2 overall.
Coker got off to a strong start in doubles play as Rachel Lemar (London England) and Alyssa Blanchard (Columbia, SC) won 8-5 at No. 1 doubles, while Cassidy Spencer (Wilkesboro, NC) and Lindsay Crighton (Florence, SC) won at No. 3 doubles, 9-8.
In singles play, Ashley Pace (Clinton, SC) was the only Lady Cobra to pick up a win, defeating Cameron Joyce in straight sets.
The Lady Cobras return to the court on March 13, when they travel to Erskine, after having their match on Sunday, against Anderson had to be postponed to a later date.
