Lowe's Motor Speedway to Set Guinness World Record

Lowe's Motor Speedway will set a
Guinness World Record at the 50th running of the Coca-Cola 600 on May 24, by
giving 50,000 fans a total of $2.5 million in giveaways.
Speedway staff will present the first 50,000 fans through the gates
on race day with a commemorative adidas sport bag. The black bags will
feature the 50th Coca-Cola 600 logo and contain prizes, merchandise and
coupons from various track sponsors.
In celebration of the speedway's 50th year of racing, the retail
value for each bag and its contents will be $50, making the grand total $2.5
million in prizes, and creating a world record for the largest prize
giveaway at a sports event.
"We like to do things big at Lowe's Motor Speedway and setting this
world record will be a fun way to give back to our fans at the 50th running
of the Coca-Cola 600," said Marcus Smith, president and general manager of
Lowe's Motor Speedway. "Our fans are the greatest in the world and these
sport bags will be a terrific keepsake for them from one of our most
memorable events."
Tickets for the 50th running of the Coca-Cola 600 on May 24 start at
just $49. Additional information for this event and all events at Lowe's
