Hartsville, S.C. - The Coker Tennis team earned their first win of the season on Saturday afternoon as they defeated USC-Lancaster 9-0. The win improves the Cobras to 1-7 overall.
The Ecuadorian team of Esteban Terran and Juan Vallejo-Gonzalez got Coker off to a great start winning 8-0 at No. 1 doubles. The two then won their respective singles matches, with Vallejo-Gonzalez winning at No. 2 singles 6-2, 6-0 and Terran winning at No. 3 6-3, 6-0.
Coker will take a week break before returning to the courts again next Saturday, when they travel to Limestone College.
