The remaining two games of the three-game Peach Belt Conference baseball series between 11th-ranked Francis Marion University and 17th-ranked Lander University, set for Greenwood, S.C., have been canceled because of rain.
Sunday's opener that was suspended by rain with Lander leading 11-1 in the bottom of the fifth inning becomes an official game.
FMU, now 17-8-1 overall and in third place in the PBC at 6-4, will play a non-conference game at Limestone College on Wednesday at 2:30 p.m.
The Patriots will return home to host second-place Columbus State University for a three-game PBC series this weekend. The two squads will play a doubleheader on Saturday beginning at 1 p.m. and a single game on Sunday at 1 p.m. on Cormell Field.
