Gaffney, S.C. - The men's tennis team of Coker College suffered another loss as they traveled to Limestone College Saturday. The final score favored the Saints 8-1.
At the No. 2 spot, Jeremiah Dye (Summerville, SC) and Mark Vial (Australia) had the closest match in doubles losing 8-4. Esteban Terran (Ecuador) and Juan Vallejo-Gonzalez (Ecuador) lost 8-0 at No. 1 doubles and Evan Schreiner (Seneca, SC) and Andrew Chinnes (Hemmingway, SC) lost 8-2 at the No. 3 spot.
In singles play the only point for the Cobras came from Chinnes at the No. 6 position. He fought off his opponent with the score of 6-4, 0-6, 10-6. His match was one of physically toughness as he dealt with cramping, yet overcame the adversity and won. The other single matches were hard fought with Dye battling his opponent, but falling short 6-1, 6-4.
The men's team will travel to Queens University Sunday, April 5, for a match at 1:30 p.m.
