Cobra Golf Drops Two Strokes, Improves to 14th in Second Round

Florence, Ala. - The Coker Golf Team dropped two strokes in the second round of play at the 2009 Southeast/South Super Regional at the Robert Trent Jones at the Shoals Course on Tuesday. The Cobras shot a team total of 299 (+11), giving them a two day total of 600 (+24), placing them in 14th place.

Lynn University took the lead at 572 (-4), followed by Barry University and University of North Alabama at 576 (E) each. Fellow Conference Carolinas schools, Barton College and Belmont Abbey are placed tied for 6th (590, +14) and tied for 17th (607, +31) respectively.

Jared Crane (Greenville, SC) had the low round of the day for Coker, shooting a 73 (+1), followed by Diego Polo (Guatemala City, Guatemala) with a 74 (+2) and John LaDow (Pottstown, PA) with a 75 (+3). Chris Marsh (Georgetown, SC) had another tough day, shooting 77 (+5), with Jimmy Gillam (Tyrone, PA) shooting 84 (+12).
