Washington Post Columnist and Associate Editor Eugene H. Robinson, a 2009 Pulitzer Prize winner, will deliver the commencement address at the 139th Claflin University Commencement Convocation.
The ceremony will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2009, at 11 a.m. at the Seventh-day Adventist Worship and Convention Center, 514 Neeses Highway, Orangeburg, S.C.
At the ceremony, University officials will award bachelor’s degrees to the Class of 2009. In addition to those degrees, Claflin University will also confer graduate degrees, including the Master of Science in Biotechnology (M.S.), the Master of Education in Educational Studies (M.Ed.) and the Master of Business Administration (MBA). The Class of 1959 will also celebrate its 50th class reunion.
