Augusta, Ga. - The Coker Baseball team exploded for 19 runs on 22 hits in their 19-4 romp of Paine College on Wednesday afternoon in collegiate baseball. The win improves the Cobras to 14-9 on the year, giving them a five game winning streak.
Chris Thomas (Bluffton, SC) (4-1) picked up the win, allowing one run on two hits in two innings of work.
Kyle Walker (Centralia, IL) was a perfect 4-for-4 with five RBIs, while Ricky Deleandro (Mentor, OH) and Taylor Evans (Arvada, CO) were each 3-for-5 with two and three RBIs respectively. Jessie Crockett (North East, MD) was 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBIs, with Kevin Schlange (Carson City, NV) and Brinley Griffin (Port St. John, FL) also picking up multiple hits.
The Cobras return to action on Thursday, as they take the field at home against Alderson Broadus out of West Virginia at 2:00 p.m.
