Motor Racing Outreach and The Cinder Project Team Up

Concord, N.C. (March 17, 2009) - Motor Racing Outreach and The Cinder Project are teaming up to host a Ministry Benefit Concert, to raise support for both organizations. The event, sponsored by Lowe's Motor Speedway, will feature Dove Award nominee Steve Fee, who is an established artist featured at Passion '07, Catalyst, 7:22 and is artist in residence at North Point Community Church in Atlanta.

For more than two decades Motor Racing Outreach (MRO) has served the NASCAR Sprint Cup and Nationwide Series racing communities and their fans. MRO Chaplaincy and Outreach services are focused on introducing racers and their fans to personal faith in Christ, discipleship and Christian discipline, and active involvement in the local church. Annually MRO, working in partnership with local churches and other ministry organizations, has the opportunity to present a message of hope and change to more than three million fans of NASCAR.

The Cinder Project is a non-profit organization that encourages and develops students to use their passion for sports, music and the arts for ministry in everyday life. They currently run Cinder Skatepark, which is located in Fort Mill, S.C.

The concert will be held at Hickory Grove Baptist Church, North Campus, located near Concord Mills, on Tuesday, March 24 at 7 p.m. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. All tickets are $10, and are general admission. National Composers Conference To Be Held At Chowan University

MURFREESBORO, NC – Chowan University will host the national conference of the National Association of Composers, USA (NACUSA) on Friday, March 6th. The conference will include four high-quality concerts of music by NACUSA composers. The concerts will occur in Turner Auditorium as well as Daniel Recital Hall.

NACUSA is a non-profit organization. Founded by Henry Hadley in 1933, it is one of the oldest organizations devoted to the promotion and performance of American concert hall music. Many of America's most distinguished composers have been among its members. NACUSA presents several chamber concerts each year that feature music by its members.
