Clemson Extension to offer home-vegetable gardening class

LADSON — Clemson University’s Cooperative Extension Service is offering a four-week vegetable gardening program to be held 6-8 p.m. Feb. 27, March, 3, 10 and 17 at The Exchange Park in Ladson. The cost is $65 per person or $95 per family of two adults.

This is a beginner-level home-gardening series that will cover the basics of vegetable gardening in the Lowcountry, such as soil preparation, starting plants from seed, crop selection, pests and diseases plus more.

Instructors will be Jonathan Croft, Clemson Extension agriculture agent, and Amy Dabbs, Clemson Extension horticulture agent.
