Cobras Down Lions 19-3

Hartsville, S.C. - The Cobra baseball team rolled to their second win of the week, with a 19-3 win over Paine College in a non-conference game on Thursday afternoon. The win improves Coker to 7-6 on the season.

Chris Thomas (Bluffton, SC) (1-1) earned the win on the mound, tossing three innings, allowing just on run on three hits.

Leading the Cobras at the plate was Brian Luchsinger (Farmingville, NY) as he was 3-for-4 with two doubles, a triple, five RBIs and three runs scored, while Brinley Griffin (Port St. John, FL) was 2-for-5 with a double, a triple and two RBIs and BK Harfst (Arvada, CO) was 3-for-3 with three RBIs. Jesse Crockett (North East, MD) was 2-for-2 with a triple, an RBI and three runs scored, with Ricky Deleandro (Mentor, OH) and Kyle Walker (Centralia, IL) each collecting a hit with an RBI.

Coker will return to the diamond on Saturday, as they travel to Laurinburg, N.C. for a three game Conference Carolinas series against the Knights of St. Andrews.
