High School Recipe Contest Deadline Nears

To apply to be one of the ten contestants, students must submit:
1) General application
2) A two page essay on the fish (selected from the provided list) explaining why it is sustainable (resources can be found on the Sustainable Seafood Initiative Web site),
3) An ORIGINAL recipe created by the student, and
4) 4 color copies of a photograph of the prepared dish.

Five seniors and five juniors will be invited to prepare their dish at the Fifth Annual Sustainable Seafood Festival on Sunday, October 26, 2008. Culinary teachers interested in a guest speaker on sustainable seafood should contact the Sustainable Seafood Initiative.
