While appearing on FOX News Channel's "At Large" with Geraldo Rivera last night, Gov. Mark Sanford said he doesn't believe that Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott should prosecute Michael Phelps for the Olympic champion's marijuana-related escapades in South Carolina last November.
At the end of a segment about the Obama Administration's $827 billion economic spending plan, Rivera ambushed Sanford by asking, "What's going on with Phelps and the sheriff in your state capital saying that he's going to let loose his detectives to investigate whether or not to prosecute this fine young man?"
